Science Lab

We refurbished the Science lab in the village school that was not utilized for more than a decade and conducted a week-long science camp to encourage students to get interested in science

Library

We established the first library in Kheowali village that is stocked with books suitable for students from primary school to university level. It is used free of cost by students of varying ages in the village who do not have access to personal study space in their homes. Additionally, this library is well-stocked with various educational games and art supplies as well.

COVID Shala

During COVID-19, approximately 100 students were educated by JIVAM who otherwise would not have been able to learn due to a lack of technological resources and access to private tuition

COVID Vaccination

We conducted free COVID-19 testing in the village for over 200 students. Alongside, we helped over 150 people register for COVID-19 vaccination who lacked the literacy and access to mobile phones to complete the registration process

Food Security

We provided food and sanitation kits to 80% of families in Kheowali village who live below the poverty line and were experiencing food insecurity during COVID-19. This translated into helping over 320 individuals

Forest Creation

By mobilizing community members, especially the women's self-help group, we planted and nurtured 300+ trees in the village ground and cremation area creating a small forest

Drug Awareness

We have partnered with Sirsa Police and administration to conduct various awareness programs and focus groups to sensitize villagers about the problem of increasing drug abuse and take their input in the problem-solving this issue
